Who we are

Planetary Solvency is an independent, non-profit risk management programme founded by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), in partnership with the University of Exeter’s Global Systems Institute.

We operate as a nexus organisation, bringing together risk professionals, scientists, financial institutions, corporates, policymakers and NGOs around a shared, science-informed approach to systemic risk.

We are hosted by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).

Governance

[Describe the governing body or steering group, its membership, how decisions are made and how often it meets.]

Our research is carried out independently. Partners and funders do not direct our findings or edit our conclusions.

Funding

[List current funders and sponsors, and the basis on which they support the programme.]

Our report series since 2022 has been sponsored by the IFoA. We are seeking funders and foundations who want to support the build of an independent, non-profit risk programme for the Earth system. If that is you, see Work with us.

Conflicts of interest

[Set out how conflicts of interest are declared and managed.]
